MC2 AUDIO POWERS CLUB AT RITZ CARLTON, SEOUL

MC2 Audio distributor in South Korea, Soundus Corporation, has installed a phenomenal sound system in the brand new Club Mania at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in the fashionable Kangnam-gu district of Seoul, South Korea.

Originally known as The Eden Club and previously located in Hang Dae, the clubbing district in northern Seoul, the club is one of the popular “M2” clubs with a reputation for attracting international DJs and young people. However as Daewook ‘DJ’ Jung told MC2 Audio: ‘With the common agreement of club owners and their clientele, the current trend is for clubs to move from Hong Dae to Kangnam-gu, the most fashionable part of southern Seoul, which is where the Ritz Carlton Hotel is situated.’

The venue opened last December under the name Club Mania and is an annexe to the Ritz Carlton Hotel. DJ further explained: ‘The locality benefits from being a tourist hotspot and boasts one of the busiest shopping malls in the city, attracting young people and tourists as well as business clients.’

In addition to weekend club/DJ nights, this two storey venue operates as a pub during the week and caters for hotel guest parties at the weekend, as well as holding fashion shows and other exhibitions.

Soundus Corporation supplied and installed 16 x E25 and 6 x MC1250 amplifiers behind the main stage to drive 12 x Funktion One RES5 loudspeakers, which form the main speaker system, with monitor and zone coverage being provided by 8 x Funktion One F221 speakers. So whether it is a fashion show or a full on dance event, the system is uniquely flexible enough to excel at all applications.

In conclusion DJ added: ‘We at Soundus and our client are very happy with the result of the installation at Club Mania. The resident engineer has commented on the great sound and reliability of the system.’
