DANCEFLOOR REFURBISH CZECH CLUB

MC2 AUDIO distributor in the Czech Republic, Dancefloor, cement their long association with one of the Czech Republic’s top nightclubs, Luxor, with major refurbishment. April 12th 2008 saw Disco Club Luxor’s re-opening with a fashion show in front of TV cameras and an audience of Czech celebrities and journalists.

Located in the ancient Bohemian city of Ceska Lipa, near the Machasee and the Czech border with Germany, Disco Club Luxor has been a popular music venue and cocktail bar for the best part of fifteen years, having been voted ‘Best Loved Nightclub’ in the Czech Republic as long ago as 1994.

Dancefloor’s first involvement with Luxor was fourteen years ago when they carried out an initial installation, which even then was characterised by the high quality of the equipment supplied and the high standard of workmanship throughout the installation. Over the intervening years, Dancefloor has had a continuous relationship with the nightclub, updating equipment as technology moved forward.

Having been damaged by fire some three years ago, Disco Club Luxor was forced to close and undergo a complete refurbishment. Dancefloor were the natural choice for the job and from the ruins a renewed, vibrant Luxor has arisen, equipped with the latest progressive and advanced technology sourced from top suppliers worldwide.

A dance space dominates the club with sound, light, lasers and special effects all flown on a supporting structure high above the floor. MC2 Audio E25 and E45 amplifiers drive a Logic System line array with more than 10kW. Sound, lights and special effects can all be controlled by the resident DJ.

Dancefloor spokeswoman, Vera Zemanova, says: ‘We set up a comparative amplifier test for our customer and MC2 Audio came out on top for both sound quality and sustained power output. Having represented the brand in the Czech Republic for two years now, we were also able to assure our client that these products are both reliable and durable in demanding club environments.’ Luxor owner, Mr. Karel Lusk, adds: ‘I am very satisfied with the sound quality and reliability of these amplifiers and I am also very pleased that I went with Dancefloor’s recommendation! The renewed Disco Club Luxor, which offers a wide range of music including RNB, House and Reggae, is rapidly becoming a ‘must visit’ venue for tourists as well as welcoming back its old friends.
