SENNHEISER CANADA CHOOSES MC2 AUDIO

The Sennheiser Canada/MC2 Audio time line begins in 2006 at ProLight & Sound in Frankfurt.

Sennheiser's quest for amplifiers with superb sonic quality, took a sudden turn when introduced to the MC2 Amplifier Technology; Co-directors Terry Clarke and Ian McCarthy have combined their extensive experience in the audio industry with a commitment to promoting the highest standards of audio quality and reliability in manufacture

In April 2006 the E45, E25 and E15 were auditioned in Canada by Jean Langlais, President, Marc Vincent and Vaino Gennaro, Business Director Live Sound Products with astonishing results: “The E45 felt totally rock solid in all ranges.” commented Vaino, “In the listening test of different types of material ranging from very soft James Taylor to not so soft Ramstein, the amp felt comfortable and solid with all material without any exception. After a few hours of listening tests and not a lot of food, we found ourselves starving in the studio but still not able to stop another ‘last CD'. “

The PA system used for the test was composed by a set of Kling & Freitag CA1001 with SW112XO Subs: “The combination of the MC2 E45 amplifier with the Kling & Freitag speakers,” continues Vaino, “sounded incredible at all volumes; it doesn't sound any better in a recording studio control room!”

October 2006 saw the first shipment of stock to Pointe-Claire and installations include Toronto’s newest jazz club, The Courthouse, which has the capacity to hold 400 guests and will be hosting live music six nights a week.

Gennaro went on to say, “the MC2 E Series bring the well renowned MC2 sound quality and reliability to an even wider range of users including fixed installation and touring sound markets. We are pleased to add MC2 product line to Sennheiser Canada’s Live Sound Division.”
